On monday, my two older boys Rick and Jason gave blood for the American Red cross blood drive. Jason did ok with giving blood but Rick on the other hand, lets just say... Rick is my drama queen! he said that he almost passed out and they had to wheel him over to another bed until he was better. It was a really great thing that my boys decided to do on their own. 290 donors are needed daily to meet the patient blood needs of 18 area hospitals in 10 Northwest Ohio Counties. The donation procedure takes about one hour (maybe a little longer if your like Rick). Your one pint of blood can help up to four different patients. When you give blood you give another birthday, another anniversary, another laugh, another hug, another chance.

Rick you big sissy!!!! Way to go boys! I gave when i was 17. i weighed 95 pounds. I lied said i weighed 100 (the minimum) I passed out cold once I stood up.
