Children can bring you closer to GOD...

This past Tuesday I went to a parenting class at my church. I got the chance to hear Josh McDowell speak. Josh McDowell is an international known speaker, author, and traveling representative of Campus Crusade for Christ. He was such and awesome speaker, telling us how to reach our children. One of the powerful things that Josh McDowell said was " We can't pass on our faith or protect our kids from the culture, unless we make that relational connection, that loving bond, that intimate attachment our children so desperately need and want." Our children now a days are so lost. Looking for love in every place possible. When the most important place the child should be getting love is at home. I for one am really bad at this. I get so caught up in the everyday things like chores, meetings, running kids here and there, that I forget the most important thing... a relational connection with my children. So this is one really important thing I am working on. I started reading to my 3 youngest children. It's one of the book I bought from Josh McDowell. It's called Children Demand a Verdict. It gives answers to 77 foundational questions for the Christian faith such as: How do we know Jesus is God? Did Jesus really come back to life? This book is helping me equip my children on how to live Gods way. My kids look forward to the nightly readings before bedtime and I look forward to the things I'm learning from my children. It's so amazing to see GOD through your children's eyes.
