I went downtown again this weekend with some of my kids. We helped hand out food for a group called "food for thoughts". Doing this is such an awesome feeling. You meet such amazing people. People that help and people that need. Today, I met this man named Dave and for some reason he stood out to me. After, I got done helping I sat down with him for a bit. I was drawn to this man and I just had to hear his story. So, I sat down next to him as he was gathering all the food that he had picked up. He told me a bit of his story...he was living in an abandon house and trying to collect disability. I wanted so much just to help this man in any way I could. I was thinking money, a place to live, food, a job, just all kinds of ways to help him was flying thru my head. So, I asked him...what can I do for you? He said...I could really use some socks. Sock!! out of all the things that I was thinking, not one simple thing like that went thru my head. SOCKS! I said Dave I will find you some socks and bring them to you next Saturday. He said, that would be great, Thank you! With in a matter of 5 mins after saying that Dave had a package of socks in his hand. One of the guys helping there had an extra package of socks that he had brought for another man. Sometimes it's just as simple as a package of socks that can make someones day. I'm hoping I will see Dave again and learn more about his story.

that sounds like a very toughing experience, it helps to remind us of what we really should be grateful in our lives, Crystal
