Out to lunch!

Yesterday, I went out to lunch with my friend Crystal. It's been since this past summer in June that we have spent time together. So, it was great to see her and play catch up. Crystal has been going thru some struggles lately and I hope I did my job as her best friend to help her with it. It's so amazing to have friends. To share life with someone thru the years. Crystal and I have been friends for many years. Infact sometimes I feel like when we first became friends it was a life time ago, so much has changed. Both of our lives have taken us in many crazy different directions. So many different people have came in and out of our lives, but still over the years we have still remained friends. Why do you think that is? Why do we have friends that can last a lifetime with us and then friends that can just come and go? Do you think we have people that come into our lives to teach us something and that was just their main purpose? I have some friendships that seem to run hot and cold. What I mean by this, is that I have friendships that we spend tons of time together and then suddenly life seems to interfere, our paths go into different direction. We end up not having time for each other. Months will pass and then we get together again and try to pick up where we left off. Is this what a true friendship is about? Where tons of time can pass and you can pick up where you left off or should I be experiencing life with my friends more often then every few months? Ask yourself this question...Is there a friend out there that may really need you right now? Do you have this urge to call a friend up and check in on them but life keeps interfering? Stop what your doing right now and call them. I did and I found out my friend really needed me. Stop being so busy that you don't have the time to treaure your friends.
