Adopt America's Dinner and Auction

On Friday night we got invited to an Adopt America Dinner and Aution as the Honorary family. We all got dressed up and enjoyed a wonderful dinner. It was very exciting because we got to meet Dick Ransom. He started Adopt America Network back in 1983 and has done such a wonderful job helping children find families. If it wasn't for Dick Ransom we never would have been able to adopt the children we have now. So, for me it was such an honor to finally meet him. We also got interviewed by Diane Larson from channel 13 news. During the live auction we helped with presenting the items. One of the bidders Steve Solys ended up donating 150 pounds of Black Angus Beef to our family. Then, my youngest son was helping present a pedal Train and Airplane for auction and the bidder donated the plane to Tyler. Tyler being his cute little self went home with a Black Shark Pedal Plane thanks to Paul Bishop. When the auction was over a man by the name of Stephan Taylor from Taylor Automatives gave us $500 dollars and his card. It was such an awesome night for us but to top off the night we realize how much money was raised to help children across the United States find a forever family. Did you know that 50% of America's homeless population came directly out of foster care? What about that 77% of the homeless who grew up in foster care now have children in foster care. Not to imagine how many children go throughout life never knowing what it's like to have a family to call their own. This is our future we are talking about. I am so proud to have been able to help Adopt America raise money for the children. Thank you so much Robin for making it possible and thank you for all that donated to Adopt America Network.
